Danso came through the youth systems at Reading and MK Dons before moving to Bundesliga side Augsburg in 2014.

He made his senior debut for Augsburg three years later and went on to make 44 appearances in all competitions. The

Austria international also joined Southampton on loan in 2019, where he made 10 appearances in all competitions, before moving to

Fortuna Düsseldorf on loan the following season before joining Lens on a permanent basis in 2021. Danso

impressed in his second season with Lens, being included in the Ligue 1 Team of the Year after guiding the team to a runners-up finish. Along with winning a ticket to play in the Champions League group stage

, Danso has played 128 games in all competitions for Lens, scoring 4 goals. He has also played 24 times for the Austrian national team and is in the Euro 2024 squad.
